AirBnB Weekly Picks: California Dreaming

Check out these spots for some Cali inspiration

It’s the start of the week and we all need a little reminder of a warmer style of living. West Coast should do the trick, because this week our AirBnB picks are scattered around the third biggest state in the U.S. – California. While we love the thrill of staying in a cool hotel and there are plenty of new boutique spots popping up all over the country – there is something unique about staying in an entire home, apartment or even a loft or cabin on your vacation, especially if you want to travel with a group of friends.

The other bonus, which we at IL are fond of, is how much you can save! According to Priceonomics, who looked at every major city in the U.S. and compared the cost of a hotel to the cost of renting an apartment on Airbnb, found that using the apartment sharing site actually saves you 21.2% less than staying at a hotel. And if you’re on a budget, you can save 49.5% if you decide to stay in a private room at a host’s house instead of staying in a hotel.

With that said, we’ve gone ahead and added to our AirBnB guides. From Hollywood, Santa Monica, San Fran, La Jolla and Laguna Beach – we have something for everyone. Hit the road solo or organize a pimped out trip for a bunch of your crew – check out these spots for some Cali inspiration. And save a little cash while you are at it.
